Just got a Toshiba Win8.1 notebook from the Black Friday sales. I was able to "Add a wireless display" until I installed VirtualBox. Marcin_82's info is sound in my case. I checked device manager and found the VirtualBox Bridged Networking Driver Miniport driver. When it's disabled, it's ok to "Add a wireless display". Then I uninstalled VirtualBox and reinstalled it with the Bridged Networking & Host-only Networking options disabled. Now I can do "Add a wireless display" and use VirturalBox at the same time without conflict (I can still access the internet within the guest OS).
